- Power injectors are available with IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at compliances, gigabit and 10/100 Mb/second Ethernet support capabilities, and low-ripple outputs.
Power over Ethernet Product Types
- PoE splitters convert an RJ45 connector PoE source into a data-only RJ45 output and a voltage-only output via a standard DC connector.
- Midspan products inject an AC or DC power source into an RJ45 connector.
- “Compliant” products fully meet 802.3 requirements to sense the PoE compatibility of the device being powered before supplying power.
- Products rated as “Non-compliant” are extremely cost-effective alternatives when the functionality to sense PoE compatibility is not required.
- Unsigned outputs are isolated and can be used as either + or - polarity.
